Cooking experiences are significant in all ages of our early years educational programs,
​as this is an important life skill to develop and learn about. 

Through cooking experiences, children will meet the early years learning framework developmental outcomes,
as this experience has many benefits such as the following:

Giving children the opportunity to develop self confidence, through practicing measuring skills
Give children a sense of belonging to a group, through a shared activity and social conversations. 
Understanding of diversity through discussing and experiencing food and traditions of a different culture.
Children will develop a social and emotional wellbeing through shared goals, taking turns and through discussing the purpose of cooking (meal times, special occasions, etc).
Children will interact verbally and non verbally with others, by discussing recipes, cooking and results.
Skills such as problem solving, investigating measurement and cooking skills.​
