A Look Into Our Learning Environment...
Beehive Kindy is a family owned and operated child care centre on the beautiful Redcliffe Peninsula.
Our welcoming and homely centre has been operating for over 18 years.
We are very proud to have passionate and long term educators who understand the importance of shaping children's development, by building trusting and secure relationships with families also.
As educators at Beehive, it is one of our most important roles to help each child reach their potential. What we do now contributes to their future success and happiness, by providing children with a sense of belonging, we are shaping who they can become and fostering their well-being and learning.
We like to see everything in our surrounding as a learning experience and make sure that children are feeling safe, secure and supported within our environment.
Beehive Kindy offers an approved Kindergarten program, that follows the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG).
Beehive has two large classrooms which are all fully air-conditioned and two large outdoor play areas.
Our outdoor spaces have recently undergone renovations to create a more natural and innovative play setting for the children. We have installed a dolphin mist fountain, garden beds for planting, a cubby house, replica road tracks and both mixed spaces of soft fall, sand, bark and grass areas.
Our outdoor learning environment gives the children the opportunity to learn and participate in many educational learning experiences, in a comfortable and safe home-like setting.

An experienced and qualified team of educators provide a balanced curriculum based on the children’s interests, parent input and community events, which is guided by the 'Early Years Learning Framework'. Our centre also provides meals (Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea) and we are able to accommodate to your child's individual taste if necessary. We also have our 'Government Approved Kindergarten Program' delivered by our qualified early childhood educator and Bachelor qualified teacher, Miss Jo. Our kindergarten program offers early childhood education (EYLF), as well as the Kindergarten curriculum to help build school readiness. By enrolling your child into our programs, this will allow them to take part in play-based learning experiences, expand their physical abilities, build their confidence and enhance their social skills.
Beehive Kindy Service Philosophy
At Beehive Kindy we all value the early childhood years.
We believe these years are an important and magical part of the total life experience.
Our centre is small and family owned.
We believe the children who attend our centre thrive through quality and personalised care.
Many of our educators have worked at our service for years now.
Our educators witness families expand, as well as children growing from toddlers through to the Kindergarten years, and then onto our out of school hours care program.
Our educators believe in lifelong learning and study.
Educators attend conferences and seminars pertaining to Early Childhood Education, to keep them up to date with new trends and research in the childcare industry.
We are continually learning about the National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework
[Being, Becoming, Belonging].
We work side by side with The Office of Early Childhood Education and Care, being our guide in striving for best practice.
We reflect individually and as a team on our work and children’s learning.
We use each child’s knowledge, ideas, culture, abilities, and interests to build the curriculum. We promote learning at every opportunity, including through our daily routines, relationships with families, as well as encouraging lifelong learning and independence.
We strive to support children across all areas of their development.
We understand and acknowledge that young children learn through their play experiences. We offer a variety of self-initiated and planned play experiences, which children will benefit from. We believe that communication with families is vital in building strong relationships and achieving the best outcomes for their children’s learning and wellbeing.
We encourage input from parents on a day to day basis; we can then use that information to individualize learning experiences spontaneously.
We endeavor to build connections with our local community at every opportunity
[It takes a village to raise a child].
We strive for our curriculum to be inclusive, sustainable and respectful of the diversity in our local community.
