Kindergarten Approved Program
Wombats Room
Our Kindergarten program at Beehive is delivered to the children,
by our beautiful educators Miss Alex (Kindergarten Teacher) Miss Bec, Miss Chloe, Miss Amie and Miss Georgia.
We follow the Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines,
as well as inter-grading the Early Years Learning Framework.
The play-based learning is delivered as part of an approved kindergarten program.
This program helps children to prepare for school, develop a love of learning, make friends and develop skills useful for their years beyond the school yard.
Our kindergarten program is delivered by a fully qualified teacher,
who is skilled in maximizing the learning outcomes for children.
The kindergarten guideline describes a set of five learning and development areas that relate to the five broad learning outcomes identified in the Early Years Learning Framework.
1. Children have a strong sense of identity
2. Children are connected with and contribute to their world
3. Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
4. Children are confident and involved learners
5. Children are effective communicators.
This program also embraces cultural diversity and strengthens children's appreciation and understanding of Australia's first people/Indigenous Australian culture.
Miss Alex, Miss Bec, Miss Chloe, Miss Amie and Miss Georgia actively explore children's cultures throughout the year,
through connecting with families and acknowledging backgrounds, beliefs and traditions.

While our Educators follow the Queensland Kindergarten curriculum;
the children also play a part in the planning of learning, through decision making processes.
By providing children with the opportunity to have input into our program we are strengthening their confidence, acknowledging their interests, furthering opportunities for learning, inviting children to explore and imagine, promoting their developmental milestones and opening pathways for further learning experiences.
